Islay is the most southerly island of the
Inner Hebrides and can be reached by car ferry from
Kennacraig on Kintyre (2 hour journey). British Airways
provide 2 scheduled flights each weekday and 1 flight on
Saturday, from Glasgow Airport to Islay. For those
travelling without a vehicle, the hotel will arrange to
collect you from the ferry terminal or airport. This
service is free of charge to guests staying 3 or more
nights. Port Charlotte is an attractive conservation
village built of whitewashed stone around 1830 on the
west shore of Loch Indaal.
